Chicken Parmesan from the Air Fryer: A healthier version of a beloved classic.
Ingredients

- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Coat each chicken breast with olive oil, then dredge in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Place the chicken breasts in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 10 minutes, then flip the chicken breasts.
- Cook for another 5 minutes.
- Remove the chicken breasts from the air fryer, top each with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
- Return to the air fryer and cook for 2-3 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Make sure the chicken breasts are of even thickness for even cooking.
- You can use panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
- For a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the breadcrumb mixture.
