  1. Preheat your air fryer to 275°F (135°C). It’s important to preheat for consistent results.
  2. Carefully place the cold eggs directly into the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; ensure eggs are in a single layer.
  3. Cook for 9-11 minutes for soft-boiled eggs.
    • For very runny yolks: 9 minutes
    • For slightly jammy yolks: 10 minutes
    • For firm but still soft yolks: 11 minutes
  4. Once cooked, immediately transfer the eggs to an ice bath (a bowl of ice water) for at least 5 minutes. This stops the cooking process and makes them easier to peel.
  5. Gently crack and peel the eggs under cold running water for the easiest peeling.
  6. Serve immediately with a sprinkle of salt and pepper, or your favorite seasonings.

Notes

  • Altitude Adjustment: At higher altitudes, you may need to add an extra minute or two to the cooking time.
  • Egg Size: This recipe is for large eggs. If using medium eggs, reduce cooking time by 1 minute. If using extra-large eggs, add 1 minute.
  • Peeling Tip: Peeling eggs directly from the ice bath often works best. The sudden temperature change helps the membrane separate from the egg white.
  • Storage: Peeled soft-boiled eggs can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Unpeeled eggs can be stored for up to a week.
